Crazy Bug
So i unwrapped my track only to have it bug out on me so i may have to do it again YAY! Hopefully i will get it done by tonight, with the amount of time left i think i will have to throw a rush job texture. It will look good but not have the infomation on the texture i wanted such as road gaurds and arrows. The car is in good shape but i am having trouble making it run in unity. The code i am using is causing the tire to rotate to rotate end over end instead of a more natural car tire rotation. I will have to figure that out tomorrow as im about to head to bed!

Good progress but issues with Eurika
So everything went pretty swell this weekend. Got to talk to my mentor about future projects, finished texturing Eurika, and my prototype car.
Tuesday in class is where the issues arouse. I was rigging my character and it was going fine. I had to manually go through and weight the uvs because the envolopes where everywhere. I noticed that the shoulder were having troubles working with the clothes as well as the bones causing her to look really bow armed. I tried to fix it and it was going alright untill the skin stopped attaching to the bones completely. I don't really want to delete the bones but at this point i may have too.

Eurika, a good checker board or not?
This is my female model update. I am happy with the way she looks as a checker board. Still needs a little work as the uv's have not been merged to make them seamless. I cant wait to start texture her as i have never made a full character model before. She will have a green and purpleish color palette for her clothes and have maybe have some interresting skin texutre because of the background of where she lives. Hoping to have her unwrapped and have the base texture on her by the end of the weekend!

I have finally started texturing my car! Its fully unwrapped and it was actually a pretty easy process. The diffuse texture is pretty much done. I am trying to figure out a way to add a nice nice shiny finish to my car but it just looks flat right now. I will post up the model of my car with the textures on it and the crazy bumb maps. They need some work before they will look good.

Update on game project
What i showed in class is pretty much where i am right now i just thought i would share in better detail what i plan to do with this project.
The track will indeed be finished and i started the unwrapping process for my car after two weeks of delay. I really got into the character i am building and put this project a little bit on the back burner. I have faith in my modeling process and i believe that i will be able to catch back up on my milestones. Unwrapping the track will be easy but in the unity demo that i have it also multiple unwraps on the same model and i have an idea of how it works but i need to talk to Amanda or some that would be able to help me.

eeary situation
Working the ear for the first time and its looking good. Its clean, has no tri's and everything is coming together well and should be easy to attach to eurika's head. Will hopefully have this finished by the night!
fixing an ugly face
I did a little bit of work over the week working on fix plobert's face. I don't know why i am having such problems modeling his face but its got to be one of the messier models i have ever made. His chin does not stand a foot from his face anymore and he actually has a curve from the front of his head moving to the back, before he was a pure square face. His cheeks look more natural and his eyes protrude more from his skull now. This could be the last of plobert, i want to focus on finishing Eurika and having her finished by the end of the term.

Plobert Update
Plobert is coming along pretty good. Got his body connected and did a little more forming of his chest area and he has turned out pretty good. I also added the pants to this body so now i just need to do a face and finish up my first character model ever!
Car Update
This is the most recent update of my car, the side is pretty much modeled but the back and front still need a lot of work. I plan to have the car finished by next week and hopefully start texturing it by then. I was unable to do any testing in unity but i will have towork on that for tommorow Monday the 24th!

Car Concept
This is the design i came up with for my concept car. I do not have a name for it yet but i like the way it turned out. I am not a huge car person so i don't know if this car would be completely capable of being design in the real world but i studied a little car design and went to the Detroit Auto Show to get a good amount of research for this concept.

Senior Game Project
Well i got an idea in my head that sounds like a doable project in less then 10 weeks.
- Make a 3d race in Unity
- Make a world that is clean and lit well with a lot of emissive texture
- Model a car of my own concept and design
- build a short figure 8 race course that is a virtual death trap. Loops and cock screw jump with areas for speed and the ability to pass at every stretch
- use the same car for AI racers but give them a distinct texture where it feels it you vs everyone
Will have my milestones for the term and what i will have done by next Tue up shortly!
